The manufacture of bronze
Experience has taught us that the working of bronze requires time, commitment and effort.
Only by acceding to these requirements is it possible to create a quality article which is able to properly exploit the characteristics of this precious metal.
We follow a careful and strict Manufacture procedure which respects the techniques of tradition and introduces modern technological innovations only when they are of genuine benefit.
Working at a slow pace, attending to the smallest detail and handling each individual phase with care, we succeed in bringing works to completion which are of great value, and whose beauty reflects the level of care invested in their creation.
Taking our cue from the requirements of our customers, we start at the design phase and draw up a design which sets out the relevant dimensions, volumes and details of the article to be produced.
We proceed by building an initial model in wax, plasticine or gesso, from which we obtain a silicon mould.
We then inject liquid wax into the silicon cast which on solidification becomes a new wax model.
Freed from the silicon, the wax model is covered by a special gesso impasto and then baked in the oven.

The wax melts and the result is a mould of the model in gesso, into which molten bronze is poured.
After solidification, the genuine bronze-working process begins. With the gesso mould broken away, we smooth down and cleanse the rough bronze surface of the burrs (rough matter remaining from fusion process); then comes the most delicate phase of the procedure: the phase of decoration and chiselling, to which we devote maximum concentration.
Whether made under the influence of tradition or the product of modern inspiration, our works are high-level artisan creations which represent a variety of styles and tastes and which do not fail to honour the special requirements of customers.
